On 2 April 2024 Zhanhai formally achieved IATF 16949:2016 automotive quality management system certification (certification body: NQA), valid until 1 April 2027. It is a key step into global OEM and Tier 1 supply chains.
IATF 16949 was created by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and is the globally recognised quality management standard for the automotive industry. Covering the full process from product design and production to continuous improvement, it is the baseline for entering OEM and Tier 1 supply chains.
The certification covers the manufacturing process for wooden automotive interior components, meaning that on the road from veneer trading to automotive-grade manufacturing, Zhanhai’s R&D, production and quality control now run to the automotive industry’s strict standards — 8D problem solving, process audits and traceability management are everyday practice.
